Highly Recommended   Useful Organizations Associated Writers and Writing Programs Story Workshop Institute(R): Runs extracurricular writing programs for students and possibly other groups. Columbia College Chicago's Fiction Writing Department: A large and expanding writing program that offers various degrees (MFA in Creative Writing, MA in the Teaching of Writing, BA in Fiction Writing, and new BFA programs in Fiction Writing and Play Writing). Most core classes work on the Story Workshop(R) principle.   Useful Subscriptions These magazines contain useful listings in the back and articles on the world of writing throughout.
